Reflection
There are lots of conspiracy theories going around at the moment on the possible causes of COVID and some believe that this is God’s way of punishing immoral people. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for that!
God does not bring disease on the human race. In fact, if there’s anybody in heaven and earth who hates it, it’s Jesus.
The Bible says that God gets glory when he sees the lame walk and the blind see (Matt. 15:31). Jesus said, “Herein is My Father glorified, when you bear much fruit” (John 15:8). What is that fruit? Lives being restored and healed by the power of God. He is definitely not responsible for the suffering we’re seeing around us. It’s time you and I as believers put a stop to that lie. God wants you to know that he is your Deliverer!” We need to tell people who’ve been afflicted with such illnesses that Jesus is Lord over it. We need to tell them that God loves them dearly, and He has the desire and the power to heal them. Let’s do away with these theories and go with what the Word says. Let’s impress the world with Jesus and give God the Glory today!
Spiritual Exercise
Your to-do for today: If you know of anyone who is currently battling with illness, tell them that Jesus is Lord over their ailment and that God loves them dearly. Then say this prayer for them: “Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law. Therefore, I forbid any sickness or disease to come upon your body. Every disease germ and every virus that touches your body dies instantly in the name of Jesus. Every organ and every tissue of your body functions in the perfection to which God created it to function, in the name of Jesus.”
