Reading
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7 v 14 (NKJV)

Reflection
What made you turn to God? What did it take? What does it take today ? Fear, Illness, Facing the death of someone you loved, a new baby, a marriage, the dawn sky, or sunset, dew on a rose… joy, sorrow, delight..
God has a parent heart. He knows the anguish and frustration any parent of a willful child/teenager knows – the need to wait to be asked before He can say anything that makes a difference. But what a difference listening to Him and being in relationship with Him can make. This isn’t only a once for all thing, it’s every day.
Spiritual Exercise
Your to-do for today: For this activity you need: a plastic drinks bottle (about 500ml) with lid, Plastic lid from a plastic tub (e.g. mascarpone cheese pot), garden wire, birdseed, permanent marker, bradawl or skewer, sharp scissors and strong waterproof glue (e.g. UHU)
Wash and dry the bottle and lid. Using the marker, draw 1cm tall and 1cm wide arches about 2cm apart and .5cm up from the base of the bottle. Use the skewer or bradawl to make a hole in the middle of each arch then use the scissors to cut out the arch shapes from the holes you have made. Glue the bottle into the centre of the underside of the plastic lid. Wrap wire firmly round the neck of the bottle, shaping a handle to hang the feeder up. Fill the bottle with birdseed, put the lid firmly in place and hang the feeder in a tree away from cats. Enjoy watching the birds feed.
The bottle is still a bottle but is totally transformed and given a new purpose.
God has a plan for us too!
