Reflection
Faithfulness, victory and the power in the name of the Lord strikes out in this chapter. Though we do not have a confirmation of who wrote it, it is clear that the writer had experienced the goodness of God into ‘THE DAY’ of victory or answered prayer, following a turbulent period they faced. God and his faithful nature, God being victorious, the one whose Name is exalted had answered their prayer at a distressing time – leading them to proclaim ‘THE’ day of answered prayer that the Lord has made. Therefore there is something to rejoice about, something to be glad about in this new day.
The years 2020 and 2021 presented challenging times to a lot of us. Psalm 91 had been the cornerstone of scriptures for most of us, trusting God for our ‘very’ day. If you are reading this today, you are seeing a new day – a day of victory over variants, joblessness, troubled mental health etc. Some of us are still going through our own challenges – but we give thanks, because whether it is today or tomorrow our prayers are answered, our victory from being amongst the living today, remains the very day the Lord made and we are and will rejoice and be glad in it.

Louie Schwartzberg is a time-lapse photographer and has been capturing the time lapse of flowers for 30 years (non-stop!). Who has got time for that right? However, each day matters for their growth and through his camera lens, has captured beautifully the essence of gratitude and its correlation to a good day.
