Safeguarding
Last Updated July 2024
With our strong commitment to the Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults, we are participating with the Church of England Past Cases Review and would like to be made aware of any concerns regarding the behaviour of anyone who has had a leadership role within St Andrew’s from 2014 to the present day. Please call or email the Vicar.
Safe Spaces is an independent service supporting survivors of church-related abuse. Telephone 0300 303 1056 (answerphone available outside of opening times) or email safespaces@victimsupport.org.uk or WebChat via the Safe Spaces Website https://safespacesenglandandwales.org.uk/
At St Andrew’s, we take the safety of both children and adults very seriously, seeking to follow best practice guidelines.
The PCC of St Andrew’s, Cobham, has adopted the Church Of England “Promoting a Safer Church” Policy Statement, national policies and Practice Guidance approved by the House of Bishops. This policy statement actively underpins all safeguarding work within the church.
You can download and read our 2024 Parish Safeguarding Policy Statement here and a scan of the signed copy of the 2024 Policy is shown below.
Our Safeguarding Officer is Alison Greenwood who can be contacted by email safeguarding@sac.church or on 07396 842086.
