Church Gate House Centre - Venue Hire

The Church Gate House Centre consists of a welcome area, a lounge, the parish office and the hall with its fully equipped kitchen.
The beautiful hall and lounge are all available to hire for private events, individually or together.

Behind the hall there is a large garden area, stretching down to the (fenced off) River Mole, which provides a safe play area for children.

Potential hirers should note that a strict non-smoking policy applies throughout the whole building, there is an automatic limiter on sound levels, and all lettings must terminate by 11pm. Our standard terms and conditions of hire can be viewed here.

Please also note that that in most cases we cannot take bookings for Sundays. The exception is for baptism parties following a ceremony in the Church.

How to book Church Gate House Facilities

Please note that we have updated our booking system.
If you have booked our facilities before you will notice some changes to the booking process. Most importantly, you will be asked to pay for your booking via an online payment using a debit or credit card. Instead of emailing you an invoice you will be sent a link to a ‘booking page’ which gives details of your booking and payments.

  1. Use the interactive planner at the foot of this page to find out if the facility you wish to book is available at the time you need it.
  2. Read our Terms and Conditions of Hire and ensure you are able to agree to them.
  3. Complete and submit the online booking form to let us know your requirements.
  4. We will reply by email to confirm your booking, or to let you know if, for any reason, we are unable to accept your booking.
  5. Check the details of your booking to ensure everything is correct, then pay your booking fee using our online payment facility. The deadline for payments is 2 weeks before the date of your booking.
  6. Once payment has been received, we will send you details of how to access the room(s) you have hired together with any additional information you will need.
