Moving On ...
Our much loved Vicar, The Revd Dr Mike Branscombe, has been appointed to the post of Canon Missioner of Guildford Cathedral from 20 September 2026.
This means we are about to enter a period of Vacancy (aka an interregnum) whilst we seek God’s guidance on the appointment of a new Vicar.
Mike has been with us for eight years and he, and his family – Margaret, Ella and Grace – have brought such a lot of enrichment to our church community and beyond. We are sorry to see them go but recognise the calling of God to the new position.
What Happens Now?
The Archdeacon of Dorking, Martin Breadmore, has set out the process in a newsletter to the parish which you can read here.
Mike has kindly agreed that work can begin on preparing to advertise for a successor and so, during July, a small team is putting together a draft Parish Profile for the PCC to review in August.
Praying for the Right Person
There is an opportunity to pray with others in the Memorial Chapel of the church every second Wednesday evening.
