Moni to speak at Black History Month Cathedral service on 25th Oct

Our diocesan Black History Month service will be at Guildford Cathedral on Sunday 25 October at 3pm. The service will bring people together from across the diocese to celebrate Black history, faith and culture, while reflecting on racial justice and belonging in the Church. Revd Dr Moni Babatunde, Associate Minister at St Andrew’s Cobham and Chair of our Racial Diversity Advisory Group, will be preaching. The Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir and the Pantasy Steel Band will be performing.
There will be contributions from across the diocese, including St Martin of Tours, Epsom, connected with their Slavery Memorial project, as well as St Andrew’s Cobham. Also prayers and reflections, poetry, an Act of Commitment to Racial Justice, and the exhibition from last year in the Cathedral nave.
